The Accelerator Pulse is an extension of our best selling Accelerator series. The Pulse comes in a men's and women's model and includes most of the features of the existing Accelerator line with the addition of a heart rate monitor. Who is it for? The Accelerator Pulse is for anyone looking to monitor their heart rate and/or take their personal fitness and training to the next level. Experts agree that heart rate based training is critical to maximizing results. Why offer this product? The addition of a HRM to the Accelerator series is a natural extension of the existing product. The speed & distance mode uses the same accelerometer (marble in a bowl) technology that is used in the Accelerator Series watches to measure speed and distance functions. The heart rate monitor employs a conventional chest strap, using 5.3 Khz transmission frequency, to record a user's heart beats per minute. If you can use an Accelerator watch, you can use the Pulse. It is a logical and simple addition of a HRM. Watch navigation and features are nearly identical to the regular Accelerators
